The Dakota Valley Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is proud to partner with the parents, teachers and school administrators to make Dakota Valley the very best it can be!
There are various ways your PTO supports the entire school district, from the art department to the boy’s basketball team. From the Accelerated Reading (AR) Store to the Daddy Daughter Dance.
We’re passionate about providing classroom enhancement dollars and grants to teachers to improve their classroom and learning environment for our kids.
The PTO Board is charged with being good stewards of the money derived from memberships and fundraisers, and we take that responsibility very seriously. We’re proud of the way we have allocated the budget, while also building a healthy reserve.
Thank you for your support of the DV PTO. Go Panthers!

Box Tops

The PTO will once again be collecting clipped Box Tops and receipts from Siouxland Hy-Vee stores (Dated Aug 1st, 2020-May 1st, 2021) as well as the Fareway in Riverside (Store #22-no date restrictions).

Parents can send their clipped box tops and/or receipts to school with their child. Each classroom or homeroom in grades Pre-K through 8th grade will have a collection envelope. PTO members will sort and count class envelopes the first Tuesday of each month.

A collection box will also be placed in the commons of the high school for those who have students in 9th-12th grade and wish to send in their receipts or clipped box tops for the DV PTO.

Scanning box tops is also an option, as many of the box tops are going virtual and no longer need to be scissored or clipped. Download the Box Top App at: https://www.boxtops4education.com/ and use it to scan store receipts. Families may “Give Credit" to a classroom. To “Give Credit" make sure you have the latest version of the Box Tops app, scan your receipt, then tap the star icon to enter your “Give credit" memo.

After each monthly count, a chart with the top classes is be posted on the PTO Facebook page. At the end of each semester the class with the highest number of box tops and receipts collected will win a treat. To encourage participation from more students, this year we will be having two classroom winners per semester.

-One class from the lower elementary building

and

-One class/homeroom from the UE/MS building.

Due to COVID concerns, the winning class will not have a party, but instead will earn a pre-packaged treat that the teacher will distribute.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the PTO Box Top & Receipt committee at kuhl2@hotmail.com.

The chairs for the Box Top/Receipts Committee are: Kelly Riibe, Bethany Bourne, and Stephanie Monk
